While the GPS Team were experts in industrial electricity, it was becoming increasingly clear to Phil, CEO that they needed the help of a dedicated IT specialist.

Some of the 30-strong GPS Electrical employee team were sending emails via personal email addresses, leading to a lack of consistency, unsafe file sharing and unprofessional client communications.

To help scale their business, GPS Electrical needed a server-based environment to house Rockwell Automation software for issuing quotes. Telco ICT Group took to the task, allowing a streamlined approach for bringing in new business.

An iPECS Ericsson-LG phone system was installed, a dream to use in comparison to the previous system. A windows server was implemented with 2019 for the business software, intune and multi-factor authentication. Telco ICT’s friendly team helped GPS Electrical establish email policies and group policies. Finally, Internet speed was supercharged with 200M/200M fibre, business NBN and 4G for business continuity.

This range of improvements empowered GPS Electrical with a roadmap to scale efficiently and grow their team to more than 150 employees – what a result!
