Deploying SD-WAN and Managed Sophos
Telco ICT deployed a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solution to tackle the connectivity issues across all VACSAL sites. This provided a more reliable and efficient network infrastructure, capable of managing traffic intelligently and ensuring better internet connectivity.
Alongside SD-WAN, managed Sophos security appliances were installed at all sites, providing advanced threat protection and network security.
Enhanced Security Protocols
Understanding the critical need for robust cybersecurity, we implemented enhanced security protocols, including redundancy around data storage. Such an approach ensured that VACSAL's data was secure and readily available in case of any disruptions.
The cybersecurity enhancements included comprehensive threat detection and response systems to safeguard against potential attacks.
Modernising Device Management
As part of the IT overhaul, Telco ICT moved all VACSAL devices, including laptops and desktops, to Microsoft Intune. This centralised device management solution allowed for streamlined updates, security enforcement, and compliance across all devices.
The file server was also migrated to SharePoint, providing a more secure and accessible file management system.
Securing Microsoft 365
Improved security measures were implemented for Microsoft 365 to strengthen the IT environment further. This included advanced threat protection, data loss prevention, and secure access controls, ensuring that VACSAL's communication and collaboration tools were protected from cyber threats.

Spanning 110 pages, the new site featured a culturally relevant, modern design, easy navigation and functionality.

The events calendar and various access levels for different team members streamlined the management of updates, while the integration with Facebook posts enhanced VACSAL's online engagement.
